iDS industrial Design Studio Hamburg

Transportation, capital goods and virtual reality are fields of activity of iDS, industrial Design Studio Hamburg, Prof. W. Granzeier and A. Wietzke.

iDS works since 1984 in Jork (since 1998 in Hamburg) for a worldwide clientele in the fields of aviation, shipbuilding, automotive and capital goods.

iDS provides extensive product developments with innovative design methods, 1:1 experimental mock up, CAID, 3D CAD, computer renderings and VR, e.g. cockpit and cabin design for the Fairchild-Dornier 728/928 JET, Lavatories and components for aircrafts, office furniture;

iDS is active in R&D projects, e.g. interior design within the scope of a crash research project, in cooperation with Airbus Deutschland GmbH. Together with universities, HAW Hamburg and TU Munich, iDS develops with several partners new cabin concepts for a Blended Wing Body BWB 20.30.
