Universität Hamburg

The University of Hamburg is one of Germany's largest universities offering a wide-ranging field of applied research as well as fundamental research. Regarding knowledge and technology transfer, it serves a broad scope from consultancy to mission oriented research:With respect to activities in aeronautical research, the university especially focuses on Nanosciences, Nanotechnology and Logistics.

The interest of the university in supporting the aerospace industry is represented by the participation in Hamburg's newly installed ZAL (Zentrum angewandte Luftfahrtforschung - Center of applied research in aerospace).  Furthermore, through the expertise of its present president, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Monika Auweter-Kurtz, being the first female professor in the field of aerospace technology, there is a strong experience as a consultant for renowned organizations.
